UNIBEN PRODUCES ANOTHER FEMALE PRESIDENT.
There's a saying that what a man can do,a woman can also do, this is gradually becoming real with the alarming rate with which women are delving into politics, from the time of Helen Johnson of Liberia to Mama Taraba of Nigeria and just yesterday another history was made at the prestigious University of Benin when a lady won the student union presidential election beating all her male counterpart hands down. Interestingly another lady will also be serving as her vice, the TEAMLORENZO correspondent who was present at the institution yesterday during and after the election reports that it was an electoral process that could simply be described as free and fair. At every polling unit visited things were going on well and even after the election results were announced the institution remained as calm as ever, though some supporters of the winners screamed and took to the streets to celebrate the success of their candidates but it was done in such an organized manner,as at the time this report was written there was no casualty of any form recorded. Below is a list of the winners of some of the positions. PRESIDENT: OBAKPOLOR LAURETTA. VICE-PRESIDENT: OBASUYI SONIA. WELFARE: OSITA CHUKWU EUGENE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE: ODU GLORY. 12 YEAR OLD CHALLENGES OLAMIDE TO A CONTEST
tSome people discover their talents at a very unfortunate period of their lives; when they are in hardship. But the same cannot be said of Oluwatobi Akanbi, a 12-year-old rapper who boasts the courage of an adult.
TEAMLORENZO’s correspondent were in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital for the ongoing National Drums Festival, when this young chap was made to perform on stage.
With the traditional Adire outfit on a pair of jeans trousers, the youngster whose stage name is T-rapper, not just dazzled the teeming audience, but was also spontaneous in some of his remarks.
After the performance, our correspondent caught up with him and had a brief interview with him. He was also asked to do a freestyle on the spot.
Master Akanbi, who said that he has been rapping since he was six, also called out popular award-winning Nigerian artist, Olamide aka Badoo, stating that he could match the finesse of the ‘street’ rapper, although his ultimate goal remains having a collabo with the Eyan Mayweather crooner.

CONFUSION IN JONATHAN"S CAMP OVER 3.1BILLION FRAUD.
Goodluck Jonathan reportedly insisted that he will not bail out any minister or public officer involved in the deal
Some members of the committee have also threatened to reveal other public funds made available which were diverted by some stalwarts of the party
Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan looking confused
Reports says confusion has hit the camp of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan over the N3.1 billion allegedly shared by six Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chiefs.
Recall that beneficiaries named so far include a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (N840m); a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and leader of the Social Democratic Party, Chief Olu Falae(N100m); Mrs. (N36.9m); a former Imo State Governor, Chief Achike Udenwa and a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Viola Onwuliri(N350m) and Okey Ezenwa(N100m).
The EFCC said it uncovered how N3.145b was paid into the accounts of six PDP chieftains and the Goodluck Support Group (GSG) by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the build-up to the last presidential elections.
Fresh report says some of the beneficiaries ran to Dr Jonathan but he insisted that he will not bail out any minister or public officer involved in the deal.
According to The Nation newspaper which quoted a top source said: “There is confusion in Jonathan’s camp. Many top members of the campaign committee were dazed that such huge cash was shared without any general information.
“Some of them have volunteered to testify against some of the beneficiaries if the EFCC digs deeper. They have been threatening to expose other dirty deals.
“Also, ex-President Jonathan has stayed away from the matter. One of the beneficiaries went to the ex-President for a bailout but the former leader said he will ‘not assist anybody but they should go and return whatever was given to them’.
“The beneficiary was said to have diverted N500million out of the N2billion, which he was to remit to the committee. He only gave out N1.5billion. The case of some public officers involved in the deal was worse because the former President has asked everyone to bear his or her own cross.
“As it is now, those given the cash will have to look for ways to refund it.”
Also, some members of the committee have also threatened to reveal other public funds made available which were diverted by some stalwarts of the party.

NO MONEY WAS FOUND IN MY HOUSE--ALEX BADEH
tAlex Badeh denied claims that $1million was found in his house by EFCC
– The denial came via a statement issued by his legal counsel, Zibri
– He challenged the EFCC to present the proof of their claim
Former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has denied reports that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) found the sum of one million dollars in his home during a raid.
His lead counsel, Samuel Zibri (SAN), described the report as totally false and wicked, PM News reports.
A national newspaper had reported that the sum of $1million was discovered in one of the houses of Badeh.
Reacting to the report, Badeh’s lawyer in a statement last night said: “Our attention has been drawn to the publication by Punch Newspaper of March 7th 2016 to the effect that the sum of $1,000,000(One Million US Dollars) cash was recovered in the house of Air Chief Marshal A.S Badeh (Rtd).
“The said publication is not only malicious but wicked. It is totally false and smacks of media campaign of calumny against the person of Air Marshal Alex. A Badeh (Rtd).”
Zibri challenged the faceless EFCC official who made the allegation to substantiate his claim.
The EFCC had filed a 10-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and corruption before the court against Badeh.
The anti-graft agency accused the former defence chief of unlawfully using dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.1bn removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase a mansion at Maitama, Abuja.
Badeh was arraigned on Monday, March 7, and he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was ordered to be remanded in Kuje prison by the presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang.

The question now is; will JAMB be willing to comply with these resolutions. So while we commend the senate for these resolutions, we equally urge them to ensure that JAMB implement them because that's what truly matters.
This followed the adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund on the inquiry into the new JAMB admission policy.

TENSION: 5 injured, properties destroyed over land dispute in Edo.
There is tension in uneme-Erhurun, in Akoko Edo local government area of Edo state
– The paramount ruler of Uneme-Erhunrun, HRH Oba Moses Omoarelogie Braimah accuses a neighbouring community
Five persons have been reportedly seriously injured and properties worth millions of naira destroyed at uneme-Erhurun, in Akoko Edo local government area of Edo state, following an alleged attack launched on the community by Okpella-Ogute community, in Etsako East local government of the state allegedly over felling of wood on a disputed land.
Following the attack, there is serious tension in the area as both communities jointly lay claim over the disputed land, with heavy presence of armed security agencies including soldiers and policemen deployed to maintain peace.
As at the weekend, carcases of burnt motor-cycles, partly damaged houses and vehicles, were seen at Erhurun community.
The paramount ruler of Uneme-Erhunrun, HRH Oba Moses Omoarelogie Braimah, who lamented the attack while speaking to journalists in the town, said it was a deliberate provocation to harass him and his subjects.
“What happened was that the Okwokpelagbe invited BUA [cement company] to go and prospect minerals which is in our area in Uneme land in Akoko Edo LGA. I personally stopped the BUA not to prospect anything because I am the appropriate authority to deal with such issues.
“This led to my series of protest letters sent to the state Governor, DSS, the police and other relevant agencies. In-fact this brought a stop to the company’s activities.
“On the 11th of February, one of our brothers, a registered timber contractor duly registered in Akoko-Edo was attacked. Each time the Okwokpelagbe wants to foment trouble, he uses his vigilante people to come and terrorise us. He is claiming that this is his land; but it is not true.
“He cannot come from Etsako East local government area to own a land in Akoko Edo. He took the vigilante boys to where our kinsman was sawing his wood in my own area. This is a place where my great grandfather lived and died, it is over 300 years that we settled here. He is from Agenebode and we have no connection with them at all. Since the colonial era was abolished, Erhurun-Uneme has been on its own. We don’t do anything with them. We have nothing in common.
“We have minerals in that land. The police invited us on the 2nd of February. When we got there, they said we should be peaceful that land case is never the responsibility of the police but that any of us who felt cheated should go to court. And I told them I am ready to go to court.
“In 1981, we had a dispute on this land which led to a commission of inquiry. The white paper released by that commission blamed the Okpella people to have entered our land. Even the forest officer who gave them permit was dismissed from service.
“I want the government to come and give us a boundary so that every body will know his area. Since he jumped from Etsako East to come to Akoko-Edo to drag our land, it means he does not know his boundary. So I want the government to come and demarcate the boundaries so that he will know,” the Erhurun monarch said.
On his part, the Okwokpellagbe of Okpella, A.Y Dirisu, said the immediate cause of the recent fracas was the sawing of wood in the land, adding that it was not the entire Okpella that has problem with Erhurun but only Ogute.
He said the wood they were brought was sawn by somebody from Okpella and Erhuhun people attacked the person, prevented the boy from carrying the logs of wood out of the community as they claimed that the land belong to Erhurun.
According to the traditional ruler, the report on the land showed that the land belong to Okpella not Erhurun, and Okpella has boundary with Damgbala.
Meanwhile, a sudden increase in the price of sachet water, otherwise known as ‘pure water’ in Benin city, the Edo state capital, has caused heavy protest.

UTME:: LAGOS GOVERNMENT CANCELS ENVIRONMENTAL THIS WEEKEND
Reports just coming in have it that the Lagos state government has canceled the monthly environmental sanitation for February.
According to Nigerian Bulletin, this cancellation means there is no restriction of movement for humans and vehicular movement during tomorrow, Saturday, February 27 because of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Dr Babatunde Adejare, the state commissioner for Environment, in his address in Alausa, Lagos on Friday, February 26, noted that this new development is to allow students, invigilators and other stakeholders participate effectively in the exam organised by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) which begins Saturday.
He stated, however, that the usual sanitation exercise would still be observed by residents in their homes, albeit with movement.

SUPREME COURT OKAYS REV.KING TO DIE BY HANGING.
ABUJA – The Supreme Court has okayed the convicted General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Rev. King to die by hanging.
In a unanimous judgment Friday afternoon, a seven-man panel of Justices of the apex court led by Justice Walter Onnoghen, upheld the death sentence that was earlier handed to Ezeugo by the Lagos State High Court.
Consequently, the court in its lead verdict that was delivered by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, dismissed the appeal the convicted clergy lodged before it.
General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Reverend King
Justice Ngwuta who noted that “the facts of the case could have been lifted from horror film”, resolved all the 12 issues Ezeugo raised in his appeal.”
“This appeal has no merit. The judgement of the court of appeal is hereby affirmed. The prison sentence that was earlier handed to the appellant is no longer relevant in view of the death sentence passed on him”, Justice Ngwuta held.
It will be recalled that Ezeugo was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging on January 11, 2007, for the alleged murder of his church member, Ann Uzoh. He was arraigned on September 26, 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder.
The charge against him was at the instance of the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
During the trial, the prosecution had argued that the convict poured petrol on the diseased, Uzor and five others. Uzoh died on August 2, 2006, exactly 11 days after the incident.
In her judgment, trial Justice Joseph Oyewole who is now a Justice of the Court of Appeal at Calabar, said there was sufficient evidence linking the accused person to the commission of the crime.
Consequently, Justice Oyewole convicted and sentenced Ezeugo to 20 years imprisonment for the attempted murder and death by hanging for the offence of murder.
Dissatisfied with the judgment, Ezeugo took the case before the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.
The condemned clergy, in his notice of appeal dated January 16, 2007, prayed the appellate court to set aside the judgment.
Aside 16 grounds of appeal he raised through his lawyer, Mr. Olalekan Ojo, he was subsequently granted leave to argue additional 16 grounds based an amended notice of appeal he filed on June 15, 2008.
Ojo argued that his client did not commit the crime and was not at the scene of the incident.
He insisted that the deceased, Uzoh, had in two statements she made after the incident and before her death, stated that she got burnt in a generator accident and that the cleric was not responsible for her injuries.
Ojo said the Investigating Police Officer, IPO, had tendered statements which stated that Ezeugo was not responsible for the burns that led to Uzoh’s death.
He alleged that the trial Judge refused to admit in evidence, the statements he said exonerated Ezeugo of the crime.
The lawyer further contended had those “vital exhibits” been admitted rather than expunged by the trial judge, they would have operated to cast serious doubt on the case of the prosecution.
He maintained that Justice Oyewole’s refusal to admit the exhibits in evidence “occasioned a great miscarriage of justice” against his client.
Meanwhile, after due consideration of the case, a three-man panel of justices of the appellate court, in a lead judgment that was delivered by Justice Fatimo Akinbami, dismissed Ezeugo’s appeal and upheld the high court verdict.
The other members of the appellate court panel that equally concurred with the lower court’s verdict were Justices Amina Augie and Ibrahim Saulawa.
Determined to save his life, Rev Ezeugo lodged an appeal before the Supreme Court.
His appeal was challenged by the Lagos state government which through its Attorney General, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem and Director of Public Prosecutions, Mrs. Idowu Alakija, urged the apex court to dismiss it and uphold the concurrent verdicts of the two lower courts.

STORY OF SHINA RAMBO,one of Nigeria most powerful armed robber.
tFULL STORY OF SHINA RAMBO – THE M0ST N0TRIOUS AMED R0BB3R IN NIGERIAN HISTORY
Shina Rambo (born c. 1963) is a former bandit who terrorised South-West Nigeria in the 1990s. After serving jail-time for his crimes, he was converted by an evangelist and became a Christian evangelical pastor.Shina Rambo now Mathew Oluwanifemi was a name that sent shivers down the spine of people who lived in the South West of Nigeria and even outside Nigeria, like Benin Republic and neighborhood, in the 1990s. He was a hardened criminal, a terror and killer, one whom men of the security agencies will never forget in a haste. A man mountain, towering about 6 ft 5inch, well built, dark skinned and sweltering eyes, he carried out his operations, like a movie, in the broad day light, with sophisticated weapons, and bullet belts and explosives strapped roundabout him. He specialized in robbing exotic cars on highways and banks.
Nothing could stop him, not even security operatives, he was totally invincible. He was Shina Rambo! He was born in the year 1958 to a military man who was a bad egg in the service. His father was from Abeokuta in Ogun state, but his mother was a native of Sabongida–Ora in Edo state. His father had over 18 wives, as was the norm for soldiers to impregnate virtually every woman they met where they were posted to.His father used his military influence to rob innocent citizens, and always brought huge amount of money home. This used to entice little Shina. He recalls, “I remembered when I was about 7 years old, my father came home with a lot of money, foreign currencies, with blood on it, and they were using something like a woman’s scarf to wipe it, then I asked him, is this an animal’s blood, or human blood? But he wouldn’t answer me, they were just drinking, smoking, and merry making. ”Shina was already indoctrinated into the underworld by his father at a tender age of 7 without him knowing it, as he would sit in front of his son, to dismantle and assemble all sorts of weapons and then polishing them in preparation for an operation.
This went on for so long till one day, little Shina, entered into his father’s room while he had stepped into the toilet, and saw a dismembered gun on the floor. He sat down in front of it, and bit by bit, he had assembled it effortlessly in no time at all. His father came out of the toilet, and saw his son, with a loaded gun in his hands. Shina flashed back and said, “That day my father was so disappointed, that he wanted to kill me, he grabbed the gun from my hand and shot straight at me, but I miraculously escaped out of the room. Then he waited for me to be less alert at night he came to my room with a machete and tried to behead me, but once again, I escaped, but the machete caught my left leg. (rolled up his trouser to show us the large scar, that made everyone sighed in pity).
It cut me so deep I thought I was never going to walk again. That day I knew I had graduated, all that was left was to pull the trigger, and I was so eager. Shina Rambo became so notorious in no time, and was hell bent on succeeding in his career as an armed robber, that he went through any length to secure spiritual powers for fortification.
To the extent of pounding over 27 live new born babies in the mortar with a pestle, cutting off about 100 human tongues and cooking them to eat, visiting the spiritual river called river of life in Ogoja, Cross Rivers State, living in an Iroko tree for days, and sleéping in the cemetery. He was given a spiritual wife who always followed him for any operation, she dressed like an Alhaja, people thought she was human, but she was a spirit, that was why they never saw her face. He said she was his personal driver, that she could drive from Nigeria to Cotonou, in the speed of light. Hear him. ”I was involved in so many rituals, that I can’t start naming them now, I was so powerful, I went underground, inside trees that looked like a city, a lot of beautiful houses inside the tree, I had my own too, I went into a river called River of life in Ogoja, where a lot of politicians and wealthy men used to come,
I had several personalities, I could change my form whenever I wanted to, that’s why the police were busy killing innocent people, and thought they were killing Shina Rambo. The 9 herbalists that gave me that power, I became stronger than them, one day I went to their shrines, and killed all of them, so that they don’t reveal my secrets. I had too many powers; my spiritual wife could drive any car in this world or out of it, no police vehicle, or anyone for that matter, could ever chase and catch me during an operation. She was out of this world, and when she had completed her operation, they took her away from me. I could give anything to get powers, and the elders knew, so they also gave me anything I wanted.I once beheaded hundred men, and gave them the heads fresh, they were so happy with me that they made me invincible. No matter the kind of bullet you shot at me, it was just like pure water on my body. I could give anything to get power, but of all the things I did to get power, the one that still breaks my heart the most, is sléeping with my mother. My father is dead now, but my mother is still alive, and she lives with me she is 85 years old, whenever I set my eyes on her, I just start crying. I can`t bear it. Shina Rambo was a raging terror, he was infallibly dangerous, the police dreaded him, both in Nigeria, and Benin Republic, his place of interest for business. He would go to police stations, in broad daylight and kill every policeman there, drive to check points and open fire on every policeman on duty, he didn’t like the police at all, and was never afraid of them, he operated in broad day light armed to the teeth looking like Johny Rambo, in the popular Sylvester Stalone movie, “First Blood”.
He once robbed 40 exotic cars in one day and drove all of them in a convoy, from Lagos to Cotonou, unstopped. He was powerful; he was wealthy, and impenetrable. He was a tin god, apparently belched from the very arroyo hell, we all dreaded him. He had a wife and three children, but he lost all of them in one day during a bloody police raid whilst he was away on operation. His wife was his stabilizing factor his life changed afterwards. He says “my wife was everything to me, I was forbidden by the elders to sléep with any other woman apart from her, I could gather about 50 women around me in a hotel, and they will just be playing with me, we would smoke, drink, and sniff cocaine, I will give them money but I will never sleép with them. I will go back home to my wife and sleép with her. That was why the police never caught me. She knew my job, she knew what I was, I never left them alone at night, I operated in the day time and go back home to my family at night. I had everything, I was very wealthy, I once spent 50 million naira in a day. I did it a lot, there was one day that we were coming from an operation and it seemed as if my powers were going to fail me, the police and the army were almost closing in on us, so we had to drive into a crowd and threw millions of naira in the air, there was commotion, everybody was busy picking naira notes even the police, until we escaped. I was too rich, but anything the devil gives you never lasts, he will collect more from you, it’s only the devil that will give you Fila, (cap) and ask for Iro and Buba. (wrapper and top). I lost everything, all the money, my family; I was so powerful the police couldn’t catch me but I lost it all.I had to surrender myself to the police, and I was arrested and jailed for 11 years. When I was serving my jail term in Agodi prisons, Ibadan, Prophet T.O Obadare came visiting, and having been encouraged several times by the Christian brothers and sisters in the prison to give my life to Christ, he prayed for me and converted me, and changed my name to Oluwanifemi, and it was so miraculous, the next day I woke up and started speaking in tongues. It was during the time of President Olusegun Obasanjo, that we were granted freedom. At this point, I was glued to my seat, the revival where Shina Rambo gave this exclusive confession was on an open ground revival in the ancient city of Ibadan, right in front of me, on stage, was Evangelist Mathew Oluwanifemi, the once feared Shina Rambo, clad in a loose fitting shirt, black pants and a pair of leather sandals with a black Holy Bible in his hands, gigantic dark skinned and bald headed, still had those fiery looks, and stealth movement.
I was more transfixed than focused, God is indeed awesome, he picked the offering basket raised it to the congregation prayed and asked who had anything to give to God, at first I was reluctant, my mind was occupied and out of an innate compulsion, sheer curiosity I stood up, dipped my hand in my pocket walked towards him briskly and calculatedly brought out my offering, dropped it into the basket, and looked deep into his eyes, I had too many things to ask him, there were too many questions unanswered. He looked back at me, and spoke in Yoruba, saying God bless you my brother; we know your type when we see them. The congregation broke into a mild giggle, as all eyes were on me as I went back to my seat, with a lot of things on my mind, and the red light on my midget still blinking, in the breast pocket of my jacket…

BILLIONAIRE BUSINESSMAN,JIMOH IBRAHIM SACKS TOP EXECUTIVE ON LIVE TV.
A near pandemonium was averted Monday morning as protesting staff of Jimoh Ibrahim and some members of Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, gate crashed and disrupted the ongoing 5th Energy Group GMD Conference, holding at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.
The protesters, who stormed the hall while Ibrahim was taking on his staff on a strategy lecture, launched into protest songs, demanding for their 14-month salary arrears. For 15 minutes, the drama was beamed live on AIT.
Appearing unfazed in spite of Ibrahim’s attempt to bully them by calling for security operatives to move them out, the protesters demanded that they would not bulge and the confab would not continue unless Ibrahim or his representatives dialogue with them.
Speaking after the protesters have been convinced to have a meeting with some of the Group executives, Ibrahim said he has no apologies owing the staff because they failed to generate their income after he had given them all the wherewithal, yet they expected him to get loans to pay their salaries.
“I cannot borrow to pay their salaries. It is not sustainable,” Ibrahim said. According to him, it’s only the media section of 16 companies in his conglomerate that has salary issue. However, the man many see as ‘Corporate Bully’, said he’s ready to deal with the problem from that moment.
In line with that, Ibrahim, shunned the rules of contract in corporate governance and sacked Bolu Afolayan, the managing director of Newswatch Media Ltd. He went on to appoint on the spot Mr. Demola Abimboye as the new managing director.
Abimboye, a seasoned journalist and until now editor of Newswatch Magazine, present at the conference, is expected to turn around the fortune of both Newswatch Daily and the monthly magazine.

NEW PLAN TO FREE CHIBOK GIRLS RELEASED..PMB
Precisely 640 days after the Boko Haram terrorists group kidnapped over 200 female students from their dormitory at Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Chibok, Borno state, the present administration has responded to the plea of the girls parents.
Leadership reports that President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, January 14, ordered a fresh investigation into the abduction of the girls.
Reports have it that the panel that will probe the sad incident is to be named by the National Security Adviser, NSA, GeneralBabagana Munguno.
The presidential senior special assistant, media, Garba Shehu, in a statement said the panel is to uncover the remote and immediate circumstances that led to the abduction of the female students by the terrorists and also other events, actions and inactions that accompanied the incident.
Speaking earlier at a meeting attended by some parents of the abducted girls, representatives of the Chibok community and members of the Bring Back Our Girls movement at the Conference Hall of the State House, the President said he has been doing his best and promised to continue to do everything possible to rescue the children and re-unite them with their families.
President Buhari assured that he remained unwavering to his promise to bring back the girls.
“I assure you that I go to bed and wake up everyday with the Chibok girls on my mind. The unfortunate incident happened before this government came into being. What have we done since we assumed office? We re-organized the military, removed all the service chiefs and ordered the succeeding service chiefs to deal decisively with the Boko Haram insurgency.
“In spite of the terrible economic condition we found ourselves in, we tried to get some resources to give to the military to reorganize and equip, retrain, deploy more troops and move more forcefully against Boko Haram.
“And you all know the progress we have made. When we came in Boko Haram was in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno. Boko Haram has now been reduced to areas around Lake Chad.
“Securing the Chibok girls is my responsibility. The service chiefs and heads of our security agencies will tell you that in spite of the dire financial straits that we found the country in, I continue to do my best to support their efforts in that regard.
“This is a Nigeria where we were exporting average of two million barrels per day at over 140 dollars per barrel. Now it is down to about 27 to 30 dollars.
“You have been reading in the press how they took public funds, our funds, your funds and shared it, instead of buying weapons. That was the kind of leadership I succeeded. That was the kind of economy I inherited. God knows I have done my best and I will continue to do my best,” President Buhari said.
Other top dignitaries at the meeting with the girls parents include; the Minister of Defence, Mansur Mohammed Dan Ali, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai and the National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd).

Speaking also at the meeting, Gen Olonisakin disclosed that in the last three months the military has freed over 3,000 people from Boko Haram captivity in the North eastern part of Nigeria.
He assured that the military has the capacity to rescue the girls, but noted that: “intelligence is delicate and we don’t want to do anything to jeopardize the lives of the girls.”
Naij.com had earlier reported that parents of the abducted Chibok school girls marched to the Presidential Villa in Abuja to protest the whereabouts of the missing school girls. It was reported that during the meeting, President Muhammadu buhari stormed out.
The Chibok girls were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists group in April 2014, when they stormed their school in the community located in Borno state, Northeast Nigeria. The incident sparked several reactions from both international communities and neighbouring countries within the West Africa region. It has not been ascertained if the girls are still alive or the particular location they are being kept.
